As part of the Trekister community, your privacy is of utmost importance to us. We recognize the role of the Internet in today’s society and how information is dispersed almost instantaneously. That’s why we are doing everything we can to safeguard your information.
Understand, we are committed to your privacy. This notice is provided to Trekister’s members as a courtesy. It’s our goal is to allow you to better understand our practices and to make more informed choices as whether or not to share information with us. To provide full disclosure, we’ll provide a link to this page before personal information is gathered.
The only information Trekister collects is a user’s first name, last name, and email addresses.
These are provided by users who submit comments or ask to be on Trekister’s mailing list.
Users may elect to provide their name to Trekister. However, this is strictly optional and not a requirement.
At no time will a member’s identity be disclosed by Trekister to a third party.
Email addresses will not be sold or given to any other company, website, or party.
All information provided to Trekister will be kept confidential.
At any time, users can email trekister@gmail.com to be removed from Trekister’s mailing list and to have their name and/or email address removed from our database.
Throughout the Trekister community, users are able to give comments about posts. These comments are public and in the public domain. Any information users post in these comments is their sole responsibly and opinion. In other words, if you don’t want your email, name, or number given out to the world don’t post a comment with it.
In addition, safeguarding the privacy of young children is of paramount importance to Trekister. That is why our online community is reserved for those 16 years of age and higher. Trekister will never knowingly collect or maintain information from anyone under the age of 16.
